"Back to Byron Bay town itself now and we find ourselves at Loft. As its name implies, this is an upstairs venue that looks down to the bustling Jonson Street below (it’s a few doors down from Miss Margarita) and is an upmarket establishment with lashings of natural light, wood and white furniture that exude the typical beachside Byron lifestyle. You’re welcome day or night, although be warned, past 9 pm the menu changes to snacks and nibbles."

"The best way to get to this great local hangout is to walk from Byron Bay’s Main Beach out toward the Wreck (local surf spot) and keep heading south to Belongil Beach. Take our tip and leave just before sunset and it will take you twenty minutes to walk to the Treehouse while the sun is setting, colouring the sky with rainbow hues. "The Rails is what the locals affectionately call The Railway Hotel. The best thing about it is that the railway stopped coming through town about fifteen years ago, but we so loved our local pub that it’s remained open for business. There is a beer garden that spills out onto the car park, plus a cute little public bar that still sits on the dysfunctional railway platform."
