Take our tip and leave just before sunset and it will take you twenty minutes to walk to the Treehouse while the sun is setting, colouring the sky with rainbow hues. When you arrive you just have to cross the road to this retro bar and indulge in late afternoon bevvies."

It’s a much quieter alternative to Byron Bay’s Main Beach (see below), which makes Belongil Beach suitable for families, and also dog owners. In 1921, a 2K ton passenger steamship named Wollongbar stranded in the surf right in front of Belongil Beach."
